The calm before the storm...

I had a really good weekend. We're talking, REALLY good.

First of all, I had my first facial. Like, a real one at a spa that took an hour. It was sixty minutes of pure, unadulterated bliss as the nice girl gooped all kinds of different stuff on my face, neck and shoulders. My life will never be the same, in that I now know that I will need to marry someone a little bit wealthy so I can have this experience repeated on a semi-regular basis.

Second, I got to go with my parents, brother, sister, and nephew to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert featuring the King's Singers. For all you cretins out there, the King's Singers are great because A. They're English and B. They're English. They're just 5 regular Joe's singing Christmas songs for the rest of us. Is it just me or does the Luke 2 Christmas story ring a little truer when rendered in a British accent?

Anyway, great weekend. But if we're talking in terms of "opposition in all things" I'm a little worried about how finals are going to go. I'll just say this weekend was the Lord's way of saying, "here's some good memories...judging by how your next week's gonna go, you'll probably need them." Is that sacrilegious? I hope not.
