Mom took me out for a delicious dinner at Magleby's. I thought it was perfect, although Mom will claim she was too full afterward. Mom also gave me the 10th Anniversary Limited Collector's Edition of Pride and Prejudice DVDs. Not only that, but there is a 120 page illustrated companion book, and a Bonus DVD featuring cast interviews and a BIOGRAPHY-brand Jane Austen documentary. Needless to say, a perfect birthday present.
Shortly after dinner, I headed off to UVSC for the Jimmy Eat World concert. Now, for those of you who don't know this about me, Jimmy happens to be one of my favorite bands. Ever. More than *NSYNC even. And there's nothing quite like watching your favorite band perform live. I almost didn't go, because I didn't have anyone to sit with, but then Miss Nesbit called to say she had an extra ticket for a seat next to her and her roommate. I am forever indebted to her roommate's friend who decided to stay home and do homework.
So now I'm tired, my ears are ringing, and I'm pretty sure I won't have a voice tomorrow, for Day 2 of Birthday Fortnight 2008.
